On chilly winter afternoons, this creamy date almond shake with
cinnamon and vanilla will bring you pure bliss.
It is super nourishing and warming - a real kindness overload!
WHAT'S IT GOOD FOR?
dates: nourishing & warming, high source of potassium
cloves: improve circulation and digestion
cinnamon: antioxidants, anti-inflammatory
INGREDIENTS:
250 ml almond milk or any other plant-based milk
2 roughly chopped dates (medjool dates are great - others work too)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
a tiny little pinch ground cloves
a pinch vanilla extract
1/4 tsp coconut oil
GOOD TO HAVE: high-speed blender
HOW TO:
1. I highly recommend to presoak the dates - so you don't have that many date bits in your drink later. Here is how: Presoak dates in some boiling water (2-3 tbsp should be enough) - for at least 15 minutes (the longer you soak them the better). If you like it sweet use a bit of the date-water as well.
2. Put plant-based milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, cloves, coconut oil and dates in your blender. Bled until everything is well combined - at least for a few minutes.
If you're not happy with the consistency either add a little bit more water or almond milk.
Play with the recipe and make it your own. Have fun!
