Always wanted to know how to make golden milk and you're not sure how to make the curcuma paste? These days are over, so here it is:
WHAT'S IT GOOD FOR?
warming, anti-inflammatory, helps to heal, clears skin, brings up positive mood, boosts immune system
enough for a 50 ml glass jar
INGREDIENTS:
20 g ground curcuma
50 ml water
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
a pinch ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1/4 tsp vanilla extract (I used powder)
1 pinch salt
1/2 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp honey or any other sweetener
GOOD TO HAVE: a little pot, small bowl, little glass jar
HOW TO:
1. Add curcuma and water to a small pot. Stir gently (best with a wooden spoon) along on a low heat - proceed till you get a thick paste for about 3 minutes.
2. In a small bowl mix cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, cardamom, salt and vanilla. Add mixed spices to your paste and probably you need to add a little bit more water if it's to thick. Set pot aside, turn heat off and continue to stir for about 2 more minutes until everything is well combined.
3. Stir in coconut oil and preferred sweetener and transfer your paste to a glass jar. If it is still really liquidy - trust me it will thicken as it cools down when you put it in the fridge. There you can store it for about 2 weeks to a month.
